Meeting of the Board of the Baltic Association of Science, Technology Parks and Innovation Centres 2016

On 14 September 2016 in Riga (Latvia), the meeting of the Board of the Baltic Association of Science, Technology Parks and Innovation Centres (BASTIC) was held. Board of the BASTIC assessed candidates and made a decision on the nominees for the Baltic Innovation Prize 2016.

 

Nominees of the Baltic Innovation Prize 2016:

  • FORTUMO  OÜ (Estonia), mobile payments company that enables direct carrier billing with more than 350 mobile operators in 90+ countries;
  • BALTIC SCIENTIFIC INSTRUMENTS (Latvia), specializes in development of precise spectrometric equipment for the analysis of nuclear radiators;
  • SOFTNETA (Lithuania), innovative IT company, that provides software based, specialized Medical Imaging and communication solutions to improve the quality of healthcare.

 

Awarding of the Baltic Assembly Prizes for Literature, the Arts and Science and Baltic Innovation Prize will be held on 27 October 2016 in Rīga, Latvia.

During the Session, the Baltic Assembly will award its prizes for Literature, the Arts and Science, the Baltic Innovation Prize as well as medals for strengthening the unity of the Baltic States.

The Baltic Innovation Prize is established by the Baltic Assembly and the Baltic Association of Science/Technology Parks and Innovation Centres. The Baltic Innovation Prize is an annual prize that consists of statuette and a certificate. The Prize is awarded at the Baltic Assembly awards ceremony to the most innovative enterprise in the Baltic States in order to demonstrate the mutual interest of the Baltic States to support implementation of outstanding achievements in innovation and new technologies, as well as to strengthen the cooperation of the Baltic States in innovation and technological development.
