Meeting of the BSPC Working Group on Migration and Integration

On 27-28 May 2019 in Schwerin (Germany), the sixth meeting of Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference (BSPC) Working Group on Migration and Integration together with the Baltic Sea Parliamentary Youth Forum was held. Members of the national parliaments of the Baltic Sea Region countries together with governmental experts discussed different national integration strategies and analyse best practices on migration and integration. Members of the Working Group discussed the possible recommendations to the 29th BSPC Resolution. During the meeting also a dialogue between the parliamentarians and the youth on the issues of migration and integration was held. The delegation of the Baltic Assembly was represented by Jānis Vucāns (Latvia).

The aim of the Working Group is to identify measures that have been applied by the countries of the Baltic Sea Region in regard to migration. The primary outcome of the Working Group is to elaborate political recommendations in regard to migration and integration issues for the countries of the Baltic Sea Region.
