Fifth meeting of the BSPC Working Group on Green Growth and Energy Efficiency on 1 March in Bergen, Norway

The meeting will start with a tour to the Technology Centre Mongstad, which is the world’s largest facility for testing and improving CO2 capture. www.tcmda.com

Representatives from the Norwegian Oil Directorate will also provide presentations on carbon capture and storage.

The meeting will continue with discussion about the best practices and examples on awareness raising activities to demonstrate the potential benefits of green growth and concrete green growth and energy efficiency initiatives and projects. This information will provide input in the process of elaborating the Final report of the Working Group and its political recommendations that will be submitted to the 22nd BSPC in Pärnu in 26-27 August 2013. Discussion about the Final report and recommendations will be one of the main items on the agenda of the meeting.

The 6th meeting of the Working Group will convene in Bornholm in June 2013.
