The second meeting of the BSPC Working Group on Innovation in Social and Health Care

The second meeting of the Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference (BSPC) Working Group on Innovation in Social and Health Care will be held on 27 - 28 March in Tromsø, Norway. Telemedicine innovation and implementation, barriers and legal aspects of cross border telemedicine, eHealth system, coordinated health care, flexible e-learning in health care, homecare and prevention will be main items on the agenda of the meeting. Delegation of the Baltic Assembly was represented by Andre Sepp (Estonia), Giedrė Purvaneckienė (Lithuania) and Jānis Vucāns (Latvia).

BSPC Working Group on Innovation and Health Care was launched by the 22nd BSPC on 27 August 2013 in Pärnu. The overarching objective of the Working Group is to elaborate political positions and recommendations pertaining to innovation in health care systems and services and innovation in social welfare systems and services, with focus on elderly people. The Working Group and its members should aim at raising the political attention on innovation in social and health care and contribute to the exchange of knowledge and best practices within its area of responsibility. For this purpose, the Working Group should establish and maintain contacts with relevant institutions, organizations and other actors in the Baltic Sea Region.
