Decision making procedure of the Baltic Assembly

The  following  chart  shows  the  decision-making  procedure  of  the  Baltic  Assembly

 

PRESIDIUM
MEMBER OF THE NATIONAL DELEGATION

STANDING COMMITTEE
INTEREST GROUP

have the right to initiate documents in any form. A draft document in English must be submitted to the Presidium not later than two months before the beginning of the Session (in exceptional cases, the national delegation shall have the right to present a draft document at the beginning of the Session)

 

PRESIDIUM

 

appoints responsible standing committees for considering the submitted documents and prepares the Final Document

 

STANDING COMMITTEE

initiates and prepares recommendations for the Resolution of the Session and drafts of the documents for consideration at sessions

 

CONSULTATIVE COUNCIL

considers all submitted draft documents for the Session

 

SESSION

the Session of the Baltic Assembly adopts its decision on document by voting. All decisions are adopted by consensus


* Presidium in the period between sessions can make decisions and release statements on behalf of the Baltic Assembly regarding topical/conceptual issues if there is a consensus among the national delegations
