Session of the Benelux Parliament

On 13 – 14 June 2019 in Luxembourg, delegation of the Baltic Assembly participated in the Session of the Benelux Parliament. During the Session, Prime Minister of Luxembourg delivered the report on the governmental cooperation of the Benelux countries. Members of the Benelux Parliament focused on the labour mobility, cooperation of tax policies and on the consequences of Brexit for the Region. During the Session, thematic debate about human trafficking and innovative technologies to tackle human traffickers was held. Parliamentarians of the Baltic Assembly and the Nordic Council participated in the political debate about Baltic and Nordic approaches to fight against human trafficking. Delegation of the Baltic Assembly was represented by Jānis Vucāns, Valerijus Simulik and Kestutis Bartkevičius.
