European dimension of the Black Sea economic cooperation, environmental protection, economic cooperation, transport and infrastructure, education and social affairs, unemployment and job creation are main issues on the agenda of the General Assembly.

Baltic Assembly was represented by its Vice President Valerijus Simulik. During the address, he underlined that parliaments have a great role in ensuring peace and security in region, the rule of law, respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms, as well as promoting economic, cultural and educational cooperation among countries. Valerijus Simulik underlined that regional institutions have a great role in solving regional and global problems, as well as promoting economic growth.

"We all know that quite often the answer for single country challenges can be solved with a regional approach. We cannot mitigate climate change, we cannot fight against organised crime, we cannot deal with cyber threats only with resources of a single country. Joining of forces is very important," said Vice President of the Baltic Assembly.
