Meeting of the Standing Committee of the Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference

On 2 March 2020 in Brussels, members of the Baltic Assembly participated in the meeting of the Standing Committee of the Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference (BSPC).

Parliamentarians of the Baltic Sea Region countries together with representatives of the European Parliament, European Commission and Council of the Baltic Sea States discussed European territorial cooperation and macro-regional strategies, current challenges in Europe and conservation and sustainable use of the oceans. Climate change, digital cooperation, migration issues were also on the agenda of the meetings. Parliamentarians of the Baltic Sea Region countries discussed implementation of the 28th BSPC Resolution, activities of the working group and rapporteurs, finances and agenda of the 29th BSPC. 

Delegation of the Baltic Assembly was represented by Aadu Must, Valerijus Simulik, Jānis Vucāns and Erki Savisaar.
