Digital Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference

On 24 August, the digital Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference "Vision 2030: Acting for the Future of the Baltic Sea Region" will take place.

During the event, participants are going to discuss cooperation in the Baltic Sea Region, common effective and sustainable solutions for the future, safeguarding environment, seas and oceans for future generations as well as talk about migration and integration issues in the Baltic Sea Region.

The Baltic Assembly in the conference will be represented by President Prof Aadu Must, Vice Presidents - Valerijus Simulik and Prof Jānis Vucāns-, Member of the Presidium Inese Voika and Vice Chair of the Economics, Energy and Innovation Committee Atis Lejiņš.

BSPC is a forum for political dialogue between parliamentarians from the Baltic Sea Region. It aims at raising awareness and opinion on issues of current political  interest that are relevant to the Baltic Sea region. There are issues and initiatives that support development of sustainable environment, economy and social system in the Baltic Sea region. The Baltic Assembly is a permanent member of the BSPC.

The Parliament of Lithuania is currently presiding in the BSPC. Valerijus Simulik, Vice President of the Baltic Assembly, is the President of the BSPC for 2019-2020.
