Digital 39th Session of the Baltic Assembly and 26th Baltic Council

On 6 November 2020, the digital 39th Session of the Baltic Assembly and 26th Baltic Council will be held. 

Due to the spread of COVID-19, the ordinary Session of the Baltic Assembly for the first time will be held digitally. Parliamentarians of Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia are going to meet digitally to discuss results of the Estonian presidency.

During the Session, members will also discuss the impact of COVID-19 on economies, health and employment area as well as education and research. The Baltic Assembly will present its "Comprehensive analysis on cooperation of the Baltic states during COVID-19 crisis" as well as jointly with respective ministers of the Baltic states will discuss crisis mitigation measures and strategic vision for recovery of the region. 

Alongside the Session of the Baltic Assembly, the digital 26th Baltic Council, a cooperation platform for parliaments and governments, will be convened. Members of the Baltic Assembly jointly with representatives of the Baltic Council of Ministers will evaluate the implementation of the joint priorities of 2020 and defined objectives of cooperation for 2021.
