Members of the Baltic Assembly to participate in the 73rd Session of the Nordic Council


On 1-4 November in Copenhagen, the 73rd Session of the Nordic Council will take place. Members of the Baltic Assembly will join the Session on 2-3 November.

The topic of the Session’s summit to which the members of the Nordic Council and the Nordic prime ministers will try to find an answer to will be about what the Nordic Region can learn from the coronavirus crisis, and how can co-operation be strengthened going forwards. During the Session such topics as foreign policy and comprehensive defence will be discussed, as well as international cooperation. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg will also join for the guest speaker debate.

Vice President of the Baltic Assembly Jānis Vucāns is going to address the participants of the Session by informing about the activities of the Baltic states regarding handling of the COVID-19 crisis, as well as inform about the cooperation between the Baltic states and the Nordic countries.
