Baltic Assembly to hold the Consultative Council


The meeting of the Consultative Council of the Baltic Assembly will take place on 24 October 2025 in Riga, Latvia. It will bring together Members of the Presidium, Chairs, Vice Chairs, and Members of the Baltic Assembly Committees to discuss key issues and set priorities for the next year.

The meeting will begin with a debate on the work of the Committees of the Baltic Assembly in 2025, namely their progress, obstacles, problems, and challenges in the parliamentary cooperation of the Baltic States. Additionally, this session will include the approval of overviews on the work of the Presidium and the Committees, with introductory remarks from President of the Baltic Assembly Jānis Vucāns, and presentations by the Chairs of the Committees.

The participants will review the draft documents for the 44th Session of the Baltic Assembly. These documents will include the final resolution, decision on the leadership, decision on the Report on the Implementation of the Budget 2024 and decision on the budget for 2026. 

The Consultative Council will also focus on the priorities and agenda of the Baltic Assembly under the Estonian presidency for next year, including approval of the 2026 working plan. This session will feature introductory remarks from Vice President of the Baltic Assembly Timo Suslov, and presentations by the Vice Chairs of the Committees.
