Baltic parliamentarians to discuss the war in Ukraine in the BSPC Standing Committee meeting

On 20 April 2022, the members of the Baltic Assembly will take part in the Standing Committee Meeting of the Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference (BSPC) in Warszawa, Poland. The main debate of the meeting will address the war in Ukraine and its consequences for the BSPC work. A report will be presented from the Council of the Baltic Sea States during the Norwegian Presidency, and migration from Ukraine to Poland will also be discussed.

Afterward, a follow-up to the 30th BSPC and the Baltic Sea Parliamentary Youth Forum will be shared, including a detailed report on the resolutions and their follow-up. Lastly, BSPC Working Groups and Rapporteurs will share information on their latest work. The delegation of the Baltic Assembly consists of President Jānis Vucāns and Vice Presidents Aadu Must and Andrius Kupčinskas. Chair of the Latvian delegation to the BSPC Arvils Ašeradens is also taking part in the meeting.
