BA to participate in a debate on the future of agriculture at the Benelux Parliament


The Baltic Assembly will participate in the plenary session of the Benelux Parliament, taking place in Zwolle, Netherlands, on 15 March 2024. The session will be opened by Pim Van Ballekom, President of the Benelux Parliament, marking the beginning of a comprehensive debate on the future of agriculture.

The thematic debate will commence with a series of presentations by government officials from the Benelux countries, sharing insights into their respective countries' agricultural policies and strategies.

Vice President Jānis Vucāns will present the position of the Baltic Assembly, contributing to a richer understanding of agriculture in the region. This will be followed by an exchange of views, allowing for a comprehensive discussion on the varied agricultural landscapes across Europe. Vice President Timo Suslov, Vice Chair of the Natural Resources and Environment Committee Jānis Grasbergs and Member of the Security and Defense Committee Andrius Mazuronis will also represent the Baltic Assembly at the Session.
