Working activities of the Baltic Assembly
In 2023 under the Estonian presidency, the Baltic Assembly will cover numerous topics in all areas of cooperation. The topics to be discussed in 2023 are the following:
- mitigating the economic consequences for the Baltic States caused by the Russian invasion of Ukraine
- accelerating digital transformation and cybersecurity cooperation in the Baltic region
- military and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine
- strengthening cultural ties and media cooperation of the Baltic States
- improving vocational and technical education in the Baltic region
- efficient exchange of data between culture and education institutions
- well-functioning joint Baltic operational area
- whole-of-society crisis preparedness and readiness in the Baltic States
- Eastern Partnership
- addressing nursing and physician shortage and patients’ rights in the Baltic region
- reducing social inequality in the Baltic States
- promoting youth employment in the Baltic States
- protecting biodiversity in the Baltic States
- just and efficient green transition in the Baltics
- sustainable farming and forest management
- long-term strategy for energy security and independence in the Baltic States
